Middle School at Oakbrook

The Right Environment for an Important Season

A Private Christian Middle School for Grades 5-8

Middle school is a season of transition. It’s when students begin to stretch toward independence while still needing structure. They’re asking deeper questions, discovering what matters to them, and paying closer attention to the world around them.

At the same time, they’re navigating physical changes and new responsibilities — all while trying to figure out where they belong.

At Oakbrook, we don’t see middle school as something to survive. We see it as a powerful opportunity to shape students during one of the most formative seasons of their lives. Through intentional mentoring, a Christ-centered culture, and a clear educational model called The Oakbrook Way, we walk with students through this season and help them build the character and habits that will carry them into the future.

Shaping Character and Confidence — Every Day

Guided by Purpose

Students are encouraged to live with integrity, humility, and compassion — thanks to Knight’s Honor and the support of daily devotionals, weekly chapel, and a community that shares the Christian values of grace and truth.

Known by Name

Middle schoolers thrive when they’re seen, heard, and cared for. At Oakbrook, small class sizes and attentive faculty mean every student is known by name, supported through challenges, and encouraged to become their best self.

Connected to Mentors

Each week, students participate in a 40-minute Advisory group led by a teacher-mentor. These sessions help students build life skills and talk openly about what it means to follow Christ, navigate relationships, and face challenges.

Experienced Together

From retreats and field days to service projects and arts and athletic events, students build lasting memories with their peers. These experiences add joy and depth to school life and create bonds that last well beyond 8th grade.

A Safe Place to Learn, Lead, and Belong

Middle schoolers are learning to think for themselves and to take calculated risks, so it’s important they take these developmental steps in a place where they feel secure physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

At Oakbrook, we offer a full-time protective officer, locked building access, and a campus-wide security system. Students also benefit from a full-time nurse and two on-site counselors who are available to support their social-emotional health.

Faculty and staff receive regular safety and crisis training, but they also model consistency, empathy, and care. This helps create an environment where students are willing to speak up, ask questions, and build relationships — the kind of culture that’s important to all of us at Oakbrook.

Together, we can navigate this next step.

Middle school is a big transition — and finding the right fit matters. We’re here to answer your questions, connect you with helpful resources, and walk alongside you as you explore what’s best for your child.
