Faith is foundational
Students begin each day with classroom devotions and participate in weekly chapel. Teachers integrate biblical truth into lessons and conversations, helping children form a Christ-centered view of themselves and the world.
Core skills are developed through intentional structure
Daily instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies builds a strong academic foundation. Students work on grammar notebooks, fluency drills, and creative writing projects that grow in complexity each year.
Learning extends beyond the classroom
Students participate in hands-on science labs, book-based projects, and grade-level field trips that tie into curriculum themes.
Students take responsibility for their learning
By third grade, students begin managing planners and practicing study strategies. Teachers coach students on how to organize materials, complete long-term projects, and develop personal accountability.
Character is shaped
through shared habits and routines. Students practice respectful language, conflict resolution, and active listening. Teachers model and reinforce kindness, responsibility, and perseverance — essential traits that are celebrated and cultivated daily.
Leadership begins early
Students take turns with class jobs and contribute to performances, presentations, and service activities that build confidence and purpose.
Experience Excellence at Each Level
Whether you’re just getting started or planning ahead, Oakbrook offers a consistent, faith-focused environment at every stage — from preschool through high school.
Find a Safe Place to Wonder, Ask, and Grow
At Oakbrook, safety is both practical and personal. The Lower School building has locked access, and a full-time protective officer is present on campus. A full-time nurse and two on-site counselors are available to support students’ health and well-being throughout the day.
Just as important, teachers create consistent, nurturing classrooms where expectations are clear and routines feel safe. Children know who to go to when they need help, and parents trust that their child is in a community where kindness, accountability, and grace go hand in hand.
