Shadow Day Form

Welcome to Oakbrook Preparatory School! We’re thrilled you’re considering joining our community. Our Shadow Day program is a fantastic way for you to experience a day in the life of an Oakbrook student. You’ll have the chance to attend classes, meet our dedicated teachers, and get a feel for our unique school culture. Please complete the form below so we can pair you with a student ambassador who shares your interests and make your visit a memorable one.

Dress Code

Shadowers may but ARE NOT REQUIRED to follow uniform guidelines for their visit.

Snack/Lunch

We will treat your student to lunch during their shadow day. We will take his or her order when they arrive on campus. Please send a small snack and a water bottle.

Materials

We recommend bringing a book to read if there’s quiet time as well as a notebook with paper and pen/pencil. All other materials will be provided.

Please fill out the Shadower Health Form below prior to your child’s shadow day.

Assessment

The Admissions Director will go over any assessment plans prior to the Shadow Day. If an assessment is set up, your child will meet with their grade level director or the Admissions Director for a preparedness assessment or placement test. This is not a PASS/FAIL test. We use it to assist us with placement. Please bring any previous report cards, transcripts, evaluations, or testing with you for the shadow day if you have not provided them. Drop off/Pick Up

Drop off and pick up will be in the Main Office. Please drop off your child at 8 a.m. on the shadow day. We will meet you and will let you know what time to return for pick up. (We typically plan to meet with parents for about 15 minutes on the day of the shadow to give any feedback from the day and answer questions.)
