Celebrating Our Beginning. Sustaining Our Future.

In 1992, our founder, Rosemary Moore, had a vision…

From the very beginning, Oakbrook Preparatory School has been a story of faith, vision, and God’s provision. What began in 1992 with just 18 students in a church basement has grown—through prayer, perseverance, and the partnership of families like yours—into a thriving school of more than 400 students on a beautiful 70-acre campus.

For over thirty years, Oakbrook has remained committed to offering Spartanburg a high-quality, independent, Christ-centered education. Each day, our teachers help students discover their God-given potential, strengthen their character, and develop the skills they need to flourish in college and in life.

The 1992 Fund makes this mission possible. Your generosity fuels everything we do—from supporting exceptional faculty to enhancing academic programs to sustaining the Christ-centered community that sets Oakbrook apart. Many families choose to practice biblical generosity through a simple monthly gift—often $19.92 in honor of our founding year—which provides steady, reliable support for our students. Others are able to give more, such as $199.20 or even $1,992, multiplying the impact even further.

If monthly giving isn’t possible right now, a one-time gift of any amount still makes a meaningful difference. Every donation is an investment in our students, our teachers, and the future God is building here. We invite you to prayerfully consider a gift to the 1992 Fund.

The 1992 Fund is a yearly fundraising campaign designed to provide essential support for our ongoing operational needs.

This campaign encourages participation from a broad range of supporters including parents, alumni, grandparents and other community members who invest in our school’s mission.  It’s an opportunity for our whole community to come together.

  • Enhances academic programs that allow us to maintain and expand our curriculum, integrating a faith-based perspective across all subjects.
  • Invests in our faculty and staff including professional development opportunities to ensure our educators continue to grow in their faith and expertise.
  • Maintain and Improves facilities to help sustain a safe, welcoming and modern learning environment. This includes routine maintenance to significant upgrades.
  • Supports spiritual growth through activities of the heart of our school’s mission, allowing us to instill strong Christian values in our students and prepare them to be faith-driven leaders in the world. Students wonder if they’ll fit in, and if they’ll have the chance to really explore their interests

Together, through faithful and generous giving, we are shaping young lives and writing the next chapter of Oakbrook’s remarkable story.
