School Re-entry update

Jul 22, 2020

Dear Oakbrook Prep families and prospective families,

I hope you are staying safe and enjoying your summer. Today we want to share with you some updates for our return to campus. As we have previously shared, our intent is to begin the 2020-21 school year on campus on Monday, August 17 in the Orange Phase of our School Re-Entry Plan.

Our faculty, staff and administration are working hard to make the campus as safe as possible and enhance our teaching and learning so that we are able to provide the excellent education you are accustomed to receiving at Oakbrook Prep.

While we recognize the challenges involved in returning to campus, our task force has developed excellent mitigation strategies and is confident in the school's ability to implement the necessary recommendations to reopen.

And to help your family prepare for some of the changes and modifications, we have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions.

In order to make our re-entry achievable, we need your help. Please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey to help us ensure proper staffing for our Early Bird and Knight Shift programs. It is important that EVERY ENROLLED FAMILY participates.

And as COVID-19 cases continue to increase, I would also like to encourage each of us to do our part to slow the spread. This includes wearing cloth face coverings when possible, social distancing, and washing our hands often.

We know that following these three steps consistently can reduce the spread of COVID-19. As we have done throughout our planning process, we will continue to review our plan and will provide weekly updates as we prepare for the start of the 2020-21 school year.

You can also visit Oakbrook 101 on our website for information on Summer Assignments, Supply Lists, and more. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

As always, you are in my prayers and I look forward to seeing you in a few short weeks!

In Him,

Kyle Boyles

Head of School
