World Language: Students begin studying world
languages (Spanish, Chinese, Italian, and German - one term of each)
in kindergarten. At grade three, students select the language they
will study for the remainder of their time at Oakbrook.

Arts Opportunities: Students in grades K4 through
grade 4 participate in music, visual arts, and may elect to take
private piano lessons. Beginning in grade 5, students continue their
weekly visual arts class and begin to choose their performing arts
elective (band, dance, or drama). Middle and high school students
choose their arts electives from visual art, band, drama, and dance.
They also may elect to have private piano lessons. The art of broadcasting,
journalism, and digital design is also an option for high school
students.

Dress Code: A traditional dress code provides
a consistently attractive and neat appearance for all students, reduces
peer pressure, and reinforces the precept of school as a place for
learning.

Before & After School Care:
"Early Bird" - For students through grade five, 7:30 until
class begins (free service)
"Knight Shift" - For students grades K5 through grade eight
from dismissal until 6:00 pm ($50 per week, drop-in fee of $5/hour)
"Lunch Bunch" - For students in K4 from dismissal until 2:20
pm

Students can bring a bag lunch every day if
they wish. However, we team up with local vendors to offer a bag
lunch alternative. Students can order any or all days if they wish. Heat-ups
are allowed every day for Upper School students. Drinks are available
every day of the week. We also offer "Emergency Lunches" for

Accreditation: Oakbrook is an accredited member of the
South Carolina Independent School Association. All staff members meet
association requirements for teaching children.

Tuition & Financial Aid: 2011-2012 tuition
ranges from $2664 for K4 to $7562 for high school students.
Financial aid is available to current school families based on financial
need and funds available. Applications must be submitted by April 1st
